Get to know the fabulous Viennese Cuisine at the cooking venues we have chosen for you. Spend time watching famous Viennese chefs at work, then trying your own hand at it and then eating what you have prepared with wines from Vienna.
Visit a traditonal produce market with your guide (taste some of the wonderful Viennese sausages); Attend cooking classes at the traditional Viennese Culinary Institute "Am Judenplatz", and at some new chef's venues we have discovered.
Tour the famous Augarten Porcelain factory and the Imperial Table Museum to see the Habsburg Porcelain collection. . Attend a Viennese Apple Strudel demo in the Residenz Cafe at the Schönbrunn Palace; Dine at several well-known Viennese restaurants.
Come along to a wine tasting session directly at a Viennese vintner. And as you cannot go to Vienna without "tasting the culture" you'll visit some of its great museums and palaces. Add a concert of Viennese music and you've got the culinary tour of a lifetime! |

DAILY ITINERARY FOR "A TASTE OF VIENNA" TOUR |

Day 1 |
Departure from an airport in the United States to Vienna. You’ll be in a new “old” world in the morning. |

Day 3
|
After your buffet breakfast you will attend your first cooking class at the Studio Adante where you will receive instructions how to cook Viennese dishes. For lunch you will eat what you have prepared you can spend your free afternoon in one of Vienna's museums or do some shopping. Dinner on your own in one of Vienna's charming pubs, elegant restaurants or famous Bitzinger Wurst-Stand oin Albertina Square(it won the contest for best Würstel Stand). |

Day 4 |
After your buffet breakfast at the hotel you will go on a Vienna city tour in private coach including entrance to Schönbrunn Palace. After that you will stroll across the palace square to attend a private Viennese Apple Strudel demo at Café Residenz (Schönbrunn), which you will taste with your coffee. Followed by a light lunch at the Cafe

Day 5

After your buffet breakfast you will attend your second cooking class at the famous Culinary Institute of Vienna in the Inner City, where many Viennese “toque” chefs got their training. There you try your hand under guidance of a Chef Instructor on how to cook Viennese dishes; you will then eat what you prepared. The free afternoon gives you may take the occasion and attend the Spanish riding School rehearsal or visit the famous catacombs where the Habsburg emperors lay in their caskets. Stop for dinner on your own in one of Vienna’s many typical pubs (We will assist you with choices) |

Day 6

After buffet breakfast meet your guide at the hotel and start with walking tour including the visit of famous Viennese Lobmeyer Glass museum and Imperial Silver and Tableware Collection at the Habsburg Winter Palace. Following this you will visit the Baroque Augarten Palais, home of the famous Augarten Porcelain manufacture. First there is lunch at Restaurant Augarten followed by a guided tour through the porclain factory and gift shop! After dinner – on own, attend a Johann Strauss concert at the lovely Wiener Kursalon, located on the Ringstrasse |

Day 7 |
After your buffet breakfast you will attend your third cooking class at Andrea Becker's culinary venue. There you will receive instructions by one of their chef/ professors on how to cook some of the well known Viennese dishes which you will then eat.
Inyoul
In the afternoon you will set out with your guide by public transportation (like a native) across the Danube to Vintner Wieninger in Stammersdorf -still part of Vienna. There you will taste whites and reds grown in his own vineyards on the surrounding hills. And then you will experience another Viennese tradition – the Heuriger – where you will eat and drink and listen to Viennese music – also at Wieninger’s. You return by public transportation to your hotel. |

Day 8 |
After your last buffet breakfast you will transfer from the hotel to Vienna airport in private coach with English speaking assistant for your flight back to the USA. Each participant will get a “Wiener Küche” certificate after having cooked at all three venues. |
